BlackBerry Ad Service allows developers to insert a few lines of code in order to display ads on their application. Income from ads that will be split 60:40, with 60 percent given to the developer.

According to Tyler Lessard, VP BlackBerry Global Alliances & Developer Relations from RIM, BlackBerry Ad Service can be used to access various mobile ad providers. Later, Lessard said, this also includes advertising services from operators.

Advertising is not the only way for developers to get money from BlackBerry. RIM in the same title also introduced the BlackBerry Payment Service SDK Beta version.

BB Payment Service can be used to enable transactions within the BlackBerry application. This can be applied to micro-transaction in an application, such as purchase e-books from the application of e-book reader.

It is quite interesting, the method of payment that can be used quite diverse. In addition to credit cards and PayPal, which is quite common, there is also a carrier method of billing or enter your phone bill.

To support that, Lessard said, for some time to come, RIM will provide a free VendorFee on the BlackBerry App World. The hope, in the absence of costs, developers will be more actively developing applications on the App World.

What are the key to success of the BlackBerry?

As a product smartphone, the BlackBerry is considered a success for mobile phone users to switch to him. What exactly is the key to success of products from Research In Motion's? According to Mike McAndrews, RIM's vice president of Product Marketing, which strengthen the company's success in selling the BlackBerry can not be determined by one thing only.

However, one of the most important, is related to the company's focus. That is, RIM's business only focus to how to develop a Blackberry. Starting from the application, hardware, services and the business model. Unlike other companies, RIM has no differentiation in product, only how to develop a BlackBerry. So, he continued, efforts which are owned by the company, will be devoted entirely to the development of the BlackBerry.

Meanwhile, according to Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of RIM, the main force that held the BlackBerry is being able to provide communication, collaboration, efficiency, integerasi, privacy, security and cost. That is desired by many users. However, initially, starting with how to connect people.

Jim exemplifies the phenomenon of the use of BlackBerry in Indonesia, where the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) into a potent enhancer for their popularity. From it can be seen that mobility has got a special room in the community. Sure there SMS and email before, but with a BlackBerry user becomes more powerful, to communicate and access the Internet.

BlackBerry users themselves have to break the current 41 million. And the target of 100 million users had already become a target next mission.
